About the role:
As an Administrative Accountant you will be responsible for supporting Equito’s Finance and Operations team with daily administrative and accounting tasks. You will ensure accurate recording of transactions, timely reporting, and up-to-date documentation, contributing to the financial health and compliance of a fast-growing real estate investment startup.
Your responsibilities:
Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
Manage administrative procedures related to the properties such as contracting insurance, changing electricity and water contracts.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
Manage accounts payable and support tracking of accounts receivable.
Perform basic bank reconciliations and report discrepancies.
Help prepare tax declarations (e.g., VAT and other local taxes).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
Contribute to improving accounting processes under supervision.
Assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Job requirements
What we’re looking for:
At least 1 year of experience in similar administrative or accounting support roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Strong technical skills in Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office are essential, and knowledge of accounting software such as Holded is considered a plus.
Fluency in Spanish and an advanced level of English are required.
Strong organization and time management skills, attention to detail, teamwork, effective communication, and a proactive willingness to learn are key soft skills for this role.
Experience in a fast-growing start-up environment and an interest in process optimization are desirable qualifications.
