Job description

About Equito

Equito is a disruptive Spanish start-up operating in the real estate and fintech space. Our mission is to make real estate investment accessible to everyone, allowing users to invest from €100 in just 2 minutes and receive monthly rental income.

You download the app, choose a property, invest from €100, and start earning rental income every month.

Equito takes care of sourcing properties, structuring investment opportunities, executing renovations, managing rentals, and distributing income on a monthly basis.

We are a team of 38 people. Our app has over 270,000 downloads, and more than €31 million has already been invested through the platform.

We are looking for someone who sees People as a set of scalable systems and thrives on driving efficiency, clarity, and high talent density.

As an HR Manager, you will build on an already established foundation of processes, ensuring they are consistently executed, continuously improved, and scaled alongside the company’s growth.

You will work closely with the CEO, COO, and team leads, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution to make the People function a reliable and high-performing engine for the business.

Your responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, COO, and team leads, supporting people-related topics, performance, and team development.

  • Lead the full recruitment cycle, owning and optimizing the hiring engine to attract top-tier talent while maintaining a consistently high hiring bar.

  • Manage and follow up on the performance management system (reviews, feedback cycles, OKRs).

  • Manage core People processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, performance, and offboarding), including payroll, benefits administration, and compliance across different locations.

  • Ensure the proper execution of the structured onboarding process, enabling fast and effective ramp-up of new hires.

  • Drive culture, engagement, and internal communication initiatives, acting as the guardian of Equito’s culture and ensuring it is embedded in day-to-day ways of working, including team rituals and company events.

  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase the scalability and operational capacity of the People function.

  • Identify skill gaps and implement lean development programs (mentorship, peer-to-peer learning) to support internal growth.

  • Manage office operations (Office Management): vendors, logistics, workspace, and team well-being.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • 5 years of experience in HR / People roles, ideally in startups or high-growth environments.

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end People processes (recruiting, onboarding, performance, people operations).

  • Experience working with established systems and processes, with a focus on execution, optimization, and scalability.

  • Strong experience in recruitment, with the ability to maintain a high hiring bar and ensure quality of hires.

  • Solid understanding of People Operations and legal compliance (contracts, payroll coordination, employee lifecycle).

  • Generalist mindset: comfortable moving between strategic discussions and hands-on execution.

  • Execution-driven profile: someone who ensures things run smoothly and gets things done.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Tech-savvy, with interest in automation and process improvement.
